Richest man in the world lives in the country of poor!!

An year ago ,there was an article in many of India's leading dailies about Mr. Mukesh Ambani being the richest man in the world.Nothing denying that the news did us all Indians proud.But in retrospect it did raise many a questions in my mind, the questions that haunt every Indian and we the middle, the upper middle and high class of India push those to some remote corners of our minds for the fear of feeling miserable.
Corporate India takes another giant leap and another Indian in fact two make it to the list of the richest people in the world. Wow!!! The richest man in the world the honorable Mr. Mukesh Ambani hails from my country. It swells every Indian's heart with pride unspeakable. The brand India has come a long way.All said and done this is the time for a reality check. The writing is on the wall that we are still a country of poor and hungry. The tragedy remains the same that we still have children wailing for food and shelter in every nook and corker of the country. We still see a child clad in rags frantically reaching out for a rich man's motor car in the hope of getting a rupee or two, money enough for his dinner.We still see a woman by the road side tucking at the cuffs of shirts and hanging chunnis of passerby's for one,two,three rupees.The blind lady of justice is still a mistress of the rich and the famous.What a pity it is that country of the likes of Mukesh Ambani, LakshmiMittal,Aishwarya Rai ,Amitabh Bachchan does not have food for millions and millions of hungry and sick people.The countrry that blows aloud her trumpet of Information Technology and outsourcing has a huge population of illiterates. Millions of children in the country of Murthy's and Premji's don't get to go to primary school and we call itIndia rising???
We still have a long way to go before we realize the great Indian dream. The dream of living in a happy and prosperous India. The dream of cheerful children on the streets, the dream of education forall.The dream of becoming a DEVELOPED country!!
